Celebrating the Rule of Law
The Halsbury Legal Awards were established in 2013 to recognise the exceptional and outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals, teams and organisations across the legal sector.
The Awards are open to all organisations and individuals practising within the legal profession, ranging from law firms, to legal support services, and legal journalists.
Entry Deadline - EXTENDED TO 20 June
Judging Day - 01 July
Shortlist Announced - 11 July
Awards Ceremony - Thursday 29 September
Please note that we will not be accepting entries for the awards listed below. Winners will be announced on the night of the Awards.
Rule of Law Award
This unique award, which is designed to recognise and celebrate commitment to the spread of fair and ordered government, law and justice, is presented to individuals or organisations who have demonstrated a sustained and recognised contribution to promoting the rule of law.
Award for Academic Contribution
This special award is presented to an individual or team in recognition of their contribution to the development of government or international legal policy, academic thinking or law in practice.
Legal Personality of the Year
This award honours an individual, not necessarily with a background or qualification in the law, who has made an outstanding contribution in the legal sphere in the past year.
Lifetime Contribution Award
This award recognises an individual who has made a sustained and significant impact in the legal world throughout their career.
